Bruin Plaza Reservations

Bruin Plaza is available to reserve for registered campus organizations looking to host food sales, tabling events, performances, practices, etc. Campus organizations can reserve the area next to the Bruin Bear and/or the Stage Area. Keep in mind, requests are approved on a first come, first serve basis.Your request will be reviewed by a SOLE Advisor before being sent to the ASUCLA Events Office. Once the request has been received by the ASUCLA Events Office a reservationist will work with you to identify your event details. (i.e. A/V needs, layout).

Reservation requests must be made a minimum of ten (10) days in advance. Registered Campus Organizations can reserve up to two (2) non-consecutive days each quarter. To reserve two (2) or more consecutive days, at least three (3) registered campus organizations must co-program and organize the event(s) taking place at Bruin Plaza (This counts as 1 reservation for each group involved, meaning that each group involved can reserve 1 more time individually as a group or 1 more time involved with the collab-group reservation during the quarter). There is no amplified sound during 10th and finals week of each quarter.

Bruin Plaza Reservations is limited for the Fall 2023 quarter. Winter quarter reservations will open,Monday at 8am the week of December 11.

PER ASUCLA GUIDELINES: There is a 2 hour set-up/clean-up for each event (before/after). So, when making a request, please check the calendar to make sure there are at least 2 hours in between your event and an existing event on Bruin Plaza for each location. (Bear to Bear & Stage to Stage, it is fine for overlapping events for Bear and Stage).

*Note: Food distribution is only allowed at the Bruin Bear when using Bruin Plaza.

Meyerhoff Park Reservations

Meyerhoff Park has been designated as a free speech area. Therefore, organized programs and special events are not appropriate for Meyerhoff Park.

Campus organizations, individual students, faculty or staff may reserve the area between 12pm and 1pm for use of amplified sounds. Reservations may be scheduled by contacting Kris Kaupalolo at kkaupalolo@saonet.ucla.edu.

Please provide the following information:

  • Date(s)/time(s) you are interested in reserving
  • Does your activity require amplified sound? If yes, 3 day in advance notice is necessary (provided from 12 - 1pm only)
  • Name, phone number, and email of the signatory the Events On-Line (EOL) application will be sent to
  • Expected number of attendees
  • Short description of speaking event

Once the reservation is made, an EOL application will need to be completed by the signatory of the campus organization reserving the space. Please, speak with your SOLE Advisor if you have any questions regarding the appropriate usage of Meyerhoff Park.
